Mr. Garrett has been the Vice President of Canopy Security Group Inc. since the Company’s founding in 2019. Ken previously owned All Phase Security Inc. which he sold in 2014. All Phase employed 

300+ full-time employees and provided armed, unarmed, patrol and CCTV monitoring services. 

He has the same vision for Canopy.

He is a former Law enforcement officer employed by the City of Live Oak, City of Marysville, The County of Sutter as a Deputy Sheriff and the City of West Sacramento. During his law enforcement career, he was assigned to Patrol, Traffic, General Investigations, Special Investigations, Boat Patrol, Special Weapons and Tactics and BNE Narcotics Enforcement Team 5. Mr. Garrett has an Associate of Arts Degree in the Administration of Justice from Yuba College, is a Licensed Private Investigator, Drug Recognition Expect Instructor, Firearm and Baton Instructor, Field Training Officer, he holds the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. certifications as well as having attended 20 plus P.O.S.T. certified courses. 

Mr. Garrett is responsible for the general operation, supervision, and management of a staff of over 40 armed employees serving clients both public and private throughout the State of California.

Ken has served as both Chair and Member of the Yolo County Workforce Investment Board for 15 years. 

His company (All-Phase) was named Business of the Year by the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, and he was named Businessman of the Year by the Chamber as well.

Ken served in the United States Navy, Carriers, with Vietnam Service.

Ken founded the Christian Brothers Junior Falcons football program in 2012. This program exposes youth to the Christian Brothers High School experience and provides a safe and positive venue for interested athletes and supporting families.

Mr. Langley is a BSIS certified instructor in all aspects of security training. In his current position with Canopy Security, he oversees training and development at Canopy Security Group Inc. and Down Range Logistics, offering comprehensive security services and training programs, including guard card and CCW certifications, home defense, and active shooter response.

Bob Langley has been a dedicated professional in protection skills and knowledge for individuals and businesses since 1984. His extensive career began as a Loadmaster in the Air Force, serving from 1986 to 1994, during which he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Transitioning to civilian life, Bob became a full-time martial arts instructor at Kovars Satori Academy from 1986 to 1999. He then advanced to leadership roles, serving as Vice President and President of the National Center for Child Safety and Awareness from 2004 to 2010, where he taught child safety seminars nationwide in collaboration with the DNA Lifeprint organization and John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted.

Bob founded Langley’s Karate School in 1999, where he served as Owner and Chief Instructor until 2012 and currently resumes this role since 2023. He holds numerous black belts and certifications, including a 5th-degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and Iron Dragon Kosho Shorei, and various ranks in other martial arts disciplines. Additionally, he is a certified firearms and security instructor with credentials from the California Department of Justice and the NRA.

From 2013 to 2015, Bob served as a Security Supervisor at UC Davis Medical Center, earning a lifesaving medal in 2016. Bob’s distinguished career also includes notable moments such as performing a martial arts routine for President Bush in 1992 and serving as a bodyguard for Chuck Norris during a movie premiere. His commitment to safety and education continues to impact individuals and businesses, fostering secure environments through his expertise and dedication. 

Richard E. Mills joined Canopy Security Group, Inc. in March 2024 and was promoted to Account Manager in May 2024.

A former U.S. Marine, Richard served as an 0311 Infantry Squad Leader stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He is extensively trained in all U.S. Marine infantry weapons and firearms and has experience operating in both desert and cold-weather environments.

Richard has a strong background in security management, having provided comprehensive security services for over 300 concerts and events at renowned venues such as the Bill Graham Civic Center (San Francisco), Fox Theater (Oakland), and Greek Theater (Berkeley). His duties included escorting music artists, assisting with medical emergencies, and overseeing all aspects of concert security.

In 2022, Richard served as the Team Security Lead for the Copyright Infringement Team during Dave Chappelle’s comedy show at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.

At Canopy Security Group, Richard oversees the hiring, supervision, management, scheduling, and training of over 40 armed employees who service public and private clients across California. He also contributes to human resources and company logistics, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction.

Walt R. Abel has been with Canopy Security Group Inc. since the Company’s founding in 2019. He was appointed as Operations and Quality Control Manager in 2023.

He is a former Law Enforcement officer employed by The City of West Sacramento for 20 plus years, the County of Solano as a Deputy Sheriff and Department of Defense as a Police officer at Mare Island in the city of Vallejo California. During his law enforcement career he was assigned to Patrol, Traffic (Motors), Street Crimes, Boat Patrol, Field Training Officer and Officer In Charge. He holds the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. certifications and has attended over 15 plus P.O.S.T. certified courses. Walter Abel is responsible for supervision, management and training of over 40 armed employees servicing clients both public and private throughout the State of California.

Walt is an NRA Certified CCW Instructor and has been providing this training since May of 2023.

Walt also worked as a trainer for All Phase Security. He provided arrest and control techniques to security officers and firearms training to security officers and private citizens.

Walt is a United States Air Force Veteran. He was with the Security Forces providing protection for Nuclear weapons/components and other high assets for The Air Force. He also was a supervisor and trainer for those personnel he was responsible for. He was also a member of a Mobile Forces 44 Man Mobility response Team and an Emergency Service Team (E.S.T.)
